Lush, the animal-friendly cosmetics company has recently launched a new packaging idea... popcorn.
In their continued efforts to become more eco-friendly, they have been investigating the best packaging material.
Instead of shredded paper or poylstyrene chips, they will use the popcorn as loose fill when sending out items in the post.
Not only is it biodegradable but it is also apparently "60% lighter than the shredded paper it uses now, which means it takes 10% less energy to transport".
Plus, no additional packaging is needed inside the box, which saves on more plastic bags.
