What to expect
You will notice a few things about the new products. They are different in many ways to the ones you will be used to. However, take a moment to understand why that's the case and you'll be quietly (or not so quietly!) impressed.
Moisturisers don’t leave behind the same silky residue. The reason for this is that they don’t include any mineral oils or other petroleum derivatives that make your skin feel smooth but actually block the pores and prevent the skin from performing its natural processes.
The scents are different too – instead of being composed of hundreds of synthetic chemicals, the scents in our products use natural ingredients such as rose and lavender.*
Whenever you notice a difference, consider the reasons behind it. You'll usually find it's the very reason that makes the products so great.
Is it working?
Whenever you change any skin or hair care routine, it takes time for the body to adapt to the new regimen. Give your body at least a week to adjust and hopefully you’ll be amazed at the results.
Equally however, everyone has different hair and skin types, so if at first you don’t succeed… After all, we’re sure it took a bit of trial and error to find the ones you use at the moment.
Good things
One thing you’ll notice is that some of the products come in slightly smaller packages than you may be used to. We’re not trying to cheat you, there are very good reasons for this.
Firstly, the products are generally much more concentrated than the ones you are used to – ours are not padded out with cheap, non-active ingredients but rather are crammed with good stuff! So you’ll really notice a little goes a long way.
Secondly, because we want the products to be used when they are at their best and we don’t want to use any of the potentially harmful preservatives currently in most beauty products, the quantities are designed to last their lifetime and not ours.
Are they affordable?
Like organic food, there is a premium on natural and organic skincare because of the importance put on the supply chain as a whole.
We have searched out the finest ranges on the market that are at the forefront of the industry. We believe they are worth every penny and, once you’ve tried them, don’t think you’ll ever go back.
* A few of our Burt's Bees products contain small amounts of safe, synthetic alternatives but these are clearly labelled.
