“The best moments in life are the ones when we feel most connected to self, in harmony with nature and the world around us.”

Africology

Created to embody Africa's magical spirit, Africology is deeply connected with its South African origins. The country has been on a healing journey for many years and ethical companies like Africology are trying to do what they can to continue that growth and development.

Part of this development is in the ways they source their raw materials. Key indigenous botanical ingredients such as Marula Oil are sourced from poor rural communities to help them develop. They particularly work trying to empower the women of these communities, giving them new skills and an income.

Africology are also involved in a number of projects which include promoting AIDS awareness and anti-child abuse programmes. They also actively work with communities to help with water solutions such as providing water tanks to store rainwater.

In partnership with another company, Dauphin, they have been helping disadvantaged teenagers, paying for schooling and uniforms, but also for self-development programmes to help them grow psychologically and emotionally as well as academically. Africology founder Renchia Droganis has worked with prisoners, victims of apartheid and even African royalty as a life coach in the past and her focus is always on helping people find their truth, authentic power and inner beauty.

There is no doubt a programme of this nature can have far-reaching effects. “If you can help develop one person, you can ultimately develop a country. There is nothing more rewarding than helping someone else, discover their potential,” says Droganis. And so the Africology mission is to help guide individuals to live their best lives. “We believe that by helping to change the lives of teenagers, they in turn can have a positive impact on the lives of many others around them”.

Africology Activists

Africology is inspired by the thought of creating campaigns in which money will be raised and donated to an institute and cause dear to them. An Africology activist is one who is in touch with the well being of oneself and one's surroundings. Considering this, they ask you, the consumer, to participate in this fight by sharing your comments, thoughts and overall input. We all can be Africology Activists; we can all make a difference.
