Pukka’s pure organic rosewater is distilled from roses grown at a high altitude to optimise essential oil content. The roses are hand picked at dawn and before sunrise to protect their valuable aromatic oils from evaporating. They are then gently steam-distilled for optimum extraction of the wonderful fragrance.

Rosewater is traditionally used in Ayurveda for toning the skin. Use as a facial wash or a natural toner to help reduce skin blemishes and oily skin. It has been used for centuries to help reduce fine lines and enhance beauty.

Pukka Herbs unique range of organic herbal remedies and award winning teas are based on the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda – ‘the art of living wisely.’ Fair trade is at the heart of the company which is why they source their herbs directly from the farming co-operatives they have helped to set up in India and Sri Lanka. Having a direct link with the farmers allows them to pay 50-200% above market rates for raw materials. They visit the farmers every year and have built up great relationships with them.

Their herbs are all ecologically grown and are from sustainable managed projects that are organically certified by the Soil Association. They are ethically responsible and contribute to charities, such as Plantlife International, involved in protecting wild medicinal species.

Pukka Herbs are a Carbon Neutral company and invest in renewable and sustainable energy projects as well as reforestation programmes. All aspects of the business carbon emissions from field to shelf are off-set by donations to Climate Care. Climate Care makes donations to energy saving projects. Pukka also maintain a policy to not fly in materials but bring them in by ship. An internal recycling scheme to prevent wastage is in place and the company is committed to using recycled paper and vegetable inks when possible. The full range of products is vegetarian.
